Land Acknowledgement

This document was composed from home offices located on the territories of the Haudenosaunee and Mississauga Nations, and within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon wampum.

Though the 2020-2021 teaching experiences described in this document were not physically located at McMaster, we recognize that the ways in which we live, work, teach, and learn are sustained by this land. For many thousands of years, Indigenous people sought to walk gently and intentionally on this land, and this intentionality has influenced our individual pedagogies as well as existences in different and impactful ways.
