14 Making your syllabus engaging
What did or would you do to make your syllabus more readable, welcoming, engaging?
ES: I split the syllabus into many parts with clear subheadings, and used a lot of tables (with due dates, assignment percentage values, etc.) for easy reference.

EG: Same here–I tried to offer a good mix of full sentences and bullet points, and used tables for assignments (title, due date, weight) and for the reading schedule (dates, text and page ranges/links, titles for lectures/units, assignment due dates).

EG: I think I’ll always be working on finding a good balance between concision/readability and warmth/detail. Going forward, I want to experiment with design elements and/or alternate formats.
