52 Deferrals and alternate exams

What did/would you do about deferrals or alternate exam scripts? What do you do to prepare for ongoing work in the subsequent term?

EG: Several of my students had deferred exams, with a small handful submitting in January of the next term. This required a few hours of work in the new term, but nothing too complex. Since the exam was open book in any case, I didn’t need to change the content questions; I did, however, change the ‘cultural artifacts’ (ads on YouTube) that students viewed for their long answer questions. For more traditional exams, I’d keep a bank of possible questions and use that to develop alternates.

ES: If you are grading exams or doing any kind of work related to your teaching fellowship in the new semester, make sure you ask Sophie for the post-contract work form to fill out, which you will then submit to her, so you are being paid for your work.
