Appendix B: Assignment Instructions

Important Note About Feedback

Students are responsible for accessing their feedback in Brightspace in a timely manner to ensure they earn points toward their final grade.

Feedback can take on many forms. This might be simply a completed rubric, and it could also include inline comments or written feedback.

Submissions that have not met the minimum requirements will be returned to students, who will be asked to resubmit within a given window.

Failure to resubmit within the window will result in a grade of zero.

This section contains detailed instructions for all core and experiential learning opportunities in PSYC1002J. Each evaluation is designed to help you demonstrate your understanding of course concepts and apply psychological principles in meaningful ways.

Rubrics for all evaluations are included in Brightspace under: Tools > Assignment (from the NavBar).

Self-Assessment vs. Self-Grading

Throughout this course, you will complete a self-assessment for each evaluation as part of the rubric. These self-assessments are meant to help you reflect on your performance and understand how evaluations are graded.

However, only the Success Portfolio is self-graded, meaning the grade you assign yourself for this assignment will be applied directly (with verification). Be sure to follow the instructions and rubric carefully when assigning your grade.
