7 Missed & Late Evaluation Policy
Term Evaluations
All evaluations are due on their due dates. However, they will become unavailable three times throughout the semester.
- Evaluations with due dates prior to January 26 will become unavailable February 6.
- Evaluations due between January 26 and February 16 will become unavailable March 6.
- All remaining term evaluations will become unavailable April 8.
These are effectively automatic extensions with no questions asked! This means that if, for whatever reasons, you are not capable of meeting the deadlines, you have until the evaluations become unavailable complete them, as an extension. You do not need to email me or fill out any forms. You will not lose any marks for this either. However, it is not recommended to wait until the unavailable date to submit everything.
Once these dates have passed, the evaluations will not be re-opened for any reason.
This is not meant to be punitive, but rather to empower you to move on with the rest of the semester and course work. There are 120 total points available to be earned in this course. Therefore, completion of any one evaluation is not crucial to your final grade.
Take Home Final Exam
The Assignment Resubmission is considered a take-home exam, which means that it is due on the last day of the examination period (April 26). This also means that no extensions can be given for any reason. There are 120 total points available to be earned in this course. Therefore, missing this assessment does not preclude you from earning 100 in the course.
* We do not have the resources to reschedule evaluations for individuals based on conflicts with work schedules or similar, regular commitments. Please plan your work schedule in advance to ensure that you are able to meet deadlines as scheduled.
Grades will be available only on the Brightspace course web site. Final grades released on Brightspace are subject to the approval of the department. They are sent to the Dean for approval and then posted in Carleton Central. Your official final grade in this course will be posted in Carleton Central.
