Module 5: Consent Culture

In the following modules, we discuss the concepts of consent, consent culture, and rape culture. You will learn how to define consent and understand it as an ongoing, active process and agreement between partners. You will also be able to recognize how rape culture normalizes and perpetuates sexual violence and understand how fostering a consent culture presents a way to disrupt harmful attitudes, beliefs and behaviour in order to prevent the justification of sexual violence in any of its forms.
