Program Modalities and Requirements
Interactive Media Management has two sections:
- 6410 is typically face-to-face, in a classroom setting
- 6010 is fully online, and asynchronous, with materials provided to students each week, and several opportunities to engage with your classmates and professors, online. Even though you are working through the materials at a time of day that works best for you, for some classes and assignments, you are expected to collaborate with your classmates.
IMMT is also a BringIT program, which requires you to own and use your own computer. Please review the requirements listed in the Program Learning Resources and Facilities section.
Delivery During COVID-19
For the Fall 2021 semester, Interactive Media Management (6410) will be mostly online, but with classes scheduled via Zoom. You will receive a class schedule showing you the times and dates for your classes; professors will provide you with the link to join the class. In this delivery model, you are expected to show up for class, same as you would in a physical classroom. We also love it when you turn on your cameras, as it makes the learning experience more engaging for your professors, and for you!
Two of your classes will be held on campus: IMMT716 Video for IM, and IMMT714 Interactive Strategy. IMMT714 will be taught in a HyFlex model, where students can either come to campus, or connect via live stream.
Post-Pandemic Delivery
Post-pandemic, 6410 will return to the classroom, with all classes scheduled in-person throughout the week (Monday to Friday). The fully online, asynchronous version of the program (6010) is always delivered online, so its delivery doesn’t change during or after COVID-19.
Important Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
