SSW Program Mission Statement
The SSW program is dedicated to the principles of social justice. It strives for excellence through a dynamic teaching and learning process that fosters connections and partnerships among students, faculty, and communities. These relationships will equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for effective social service practice in a constantly evolving society.
Program Philosophy
The program philosophy is based upon the fundamental belief in the dignity, worth and potential of all people.
Associate Dean
Our Associate Dean, Dr. Delon Omrow, oversees all academic programs within the Public Safety and Community Care School (previously known as the Community Services Department). He supervises all staff and is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of all Public Safety and Community Care Programs, managing the day-to-day activities of the departments, and ensuring that students receive a high-quality education. Dr. Omrow collaborates closely with faculty to identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing educational quality and improving student outcomes. Should you have concerns that cannot be resolved with faculty or your Student Success Advisor, he is the designated contact person for further help. Dr. Omrow can be reached at (domrow@centennialcollege.ca).
