SSW Program Mission Statement
The SSW program is committed to social justice ideals and principles. The program is committed to excellence through a dynamic process of teaching and learning which combines connections and partnerships between students, faculty and communities. These connections and partnerships will in turn give students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for effective social service practice in an ever-changing society.

The program philosophy is based upon the fundamental belief in the dignity, worth and potential of all people.
Associate Dean
Our Associate Dean, Dr. Delon Omrow, is responsible for all programs in the Community Services Department and the supervision of staff. The Associate Dean ensures the effective operation of all Community Services Programs and is the contact person if you cannot work out your concerns at the level of assistance with faculty or your Student Success Advisor. Program Coordinator
Our Program Coordinator, Dr. Donna Hinds, provides academic leadership in coordinating courses, curricula, field placements and the overall Social Service Worker Program. The Program Coordinator plays a crucial academic leadership role that is essential for the sustainability of the program and the success of the students. As well, the coordinator facilitates important academic processes by working collaboratively with the Associate Dean, Faculty, and Support Team. Field Placement Coordinator
Our Field Placement Coordinator, Lynne Winters, supports the field placement process, including matching students to field placements, supporting College Field Supervisors and agency Field Supervisors, and ensuring that the field placement process is in place. Success Advisor
Chagla Tok is our Success Advisor who will support you throughout your college experience. Chagla can assist you in defining your academic and career goals, as well as connect you to valuable resources and opportunities available at the college. Chagla’s office is located in C-206, within the School of Community and Health Studies Department on the Ashtonbee Campus.

Program Officer
Our Program Officer, Maureen Saint, is the friendly face you’ll meet when you arrive at the SCHS Community Services office in C-206. Maureen can help you with office hours, connect you with the success advisor, and assist you with any other questions you may have.
Department Assistant
Our Department Assistant, Scarlet Dreimanis, is a friendly face in our program and one who works closely with our Associate Dean and can assist you with any administrative questions or concerns.
