Field Placement Visits

Field Placement Specialist will contact supervisors to schedule a field placement visit. Visits are scheduled to happen for the following students:

• 1st year students
• 2nd year students will have a visit in the Fall semester. A visit in the winter term will be conducted on an as needed basis
• Intensive students will have a visit in their first placement. A visit in their second      placement will be conducted on an as needed basis

Visits generally take 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Some of the topics discussed at the visit include

• how the student is progressing with their goals
• how the student is fitting in with the agency
• examples of how the student is connecting classroom learning to field
• explore strengths of the students and areas of improvement
• address any issues or concerns from students or supervisors
