My Nursing Philosophy

As a Registered Practical Nurse, I believe that a good nurse brings something special to work with them every shift. For each nurse, it’s different, as each nurse has their core values and beliefs. I view nursing as a profession that requires thought, skill, and knowledge as well as dedication to provide the best possible care to every patient cared for. I am committed to creating a nurse-client relationship on the basis of trust, empathy, equality, and providing dignity to those who I care for in my practice. I lead my practice with professional standards to ensure public safety, ethical principles for fair and compassionate care, and my belief that career-long learning will ensure I remain competent and stay true to my roots in nursing.
