As an aspiring future nurse, my nursing philosophy consists of being capable of providing holistic care for my patients and upholding their rights to safe care. It is crucial for me that my patients are treated beyond their medical history or ailments and that the whole picture is considered. While patients are in my care, their rights are upheld such as confidentiality, and their experience in the hospital is made better by their healthcare team, especially by me. I also believe in maintaining the principles of ethics within my care, non-maleficence, beneficence, autonomy and justice.

I believe that patients should be always treated with compassion, respect, dignity and with safe practices. All patients should be treated with kindness regardless of their situation or responses. As a care provider I believe in making sure that every patient I interact with is left better than when I leave compared to when I entered. This means checking things like their comfort, preforming tasks to create a positive environment and creating a well designed care plan.
