Foreword (by Maria Glass)

The purpose of this book is to make sure that at least some of the remarkable work created by Daisy Glass, my big sister, over the period of almost 50 years as an English language teacher be shared with as many language teachers as possible.

Over the last five decades, Daisy has taught English as a foreign language to hundred of students, has trained dozens of teachers (including myself), and has created countless teaching materials.

My participation in the production of this book was to help decide what activities to include (not an easy task given the wealth of materials), act as a sounding board when organizing the ideas, and type up the chapters.

This book is a celebration of Daisy’s extraordinary achievements. Enjoy!
