21 Picture Trip
Picture Trip
Level | Material |
A2 and up | Picture cards |
Get a set of picture cards. They can be pictures of objects or action or places. Anything you want the class to practice.
Place students in groups. Tell them they went on an exciting trip and that they did lots of interesting things.
Spread the picture cards, face down, as if they were playing cards. Ask each group to randomly pick 3 to 5 cards. Tell the groups they need to use all the pictures in creating their trip.
Ask the groups present their “trips” to the class.
Note: The use of pictures in any situation encourages students to use their creativity and build out-of-the-box stories, leaving the beaten path. Therefore, you will end up with creative and interesting and different stories. You can adapt this activity to other settings, such as ‘the day I met someone’, ‘an interesting weekend at home’, ‘my plans for my next vacation’, etc.
