Daisy Glass is an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher from and in Brazil. Daisy Glass started teaching EFL for Brazil-United States Cultural Association in Salvador, Bahia,  when she was still a teenager even though she had no formal training. Over the last 45+ years she has taught innumerous students and trained countless EFL teachers. Daisy has also founded two language schools in Brazil – Brazil-America Institute and Glass School. Now, Daisy is teaching online on a part-time basis despite being retired. As she explains, “it’s difficult to idle when the passion for teaching is still pretty much alive”. Maria Glass holds a TESL certificate, a Ph.D. in Linguistics, and an MA in Applied Linguistics. She has 30+ years of experience as a teacher and has taught a variety of college courses in Canada and overseas. Some of these courses are: English as a second language, English for specific purposes (including academic purposes), English as a foreign language, intercultural communication, professional communication, language learning and teaching theories, linguistics, translation, pragmatics, and introduction to research. Thiago Bonfim is an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher from and in Brazil. Thiago started working as an English teacher when he was still a teenager in his hometown, despite having no formal training. Some years later, after he moved to the city where he now lives to study Computer Science, he met Daisy Glass who was then his teacher and a source of inspiration to become a teacher some years later at her English language school. Thiago is now a seasoned teacher, having worked with a wide range of age groups, but mostly teenagers. Tales Dourado is Brazilian English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher, a musician, and  a board game and video game lover. Tales has been teaching since 2015. He was trained by Daisy Glass, founder of Glass School, and has always been linked to artful and playful ways of teaching. Over these 7 years, Dourado developed, along with Thiago Bomfim, the RPA called “The School of Science and Mysteries”.  Tales lives in Vitória da Conquista and uses RPAs in his classes, both in grade schools and in Glass School. Contact: talesdourado9@gmail.com
