Your Role as a Team Member

Although teaching often occurs in isolation from your colleagues, many of the other roles that you play as a faculty member will occur within teams. Faculty meetings, curriculum development teams or committee work, all involve team meetings where varying personalities and opinions will intersect. It can be challenging to ensure that your perspective, as well as your colleagues’ points of view, are heard and considered. It is important that the professional expertise of each team member is respected and valued. With that being said, how are you viewed by others in your team meetings?
