Simulation Centre
The School of Health at Mohawk College conducts simulations with the support of the Centre for Healthcare Simulation and Research (CHSR) Simulation Team. These simulations can be conducted either in-person, utilizing standardized patients or high-fidelity mannequins, or virtually, employing VR headsets or Affinity Learning technologies.
Virtual Simulation
The RRT, an integral part of the CHSR Team, specializes in the development and implementation of virtual simulations. For inquiries or interest in creating or utilizing virtual simulations, please contact the RRT.
Simulation Canada and Virtu-WIL
Simulation Canada has an initiative called Virtu-WIL where the creation of simulations is funded to develop a large bank of open source simulations. You can find the full list of simulations by clicking here.
In-Person Simulation
For those interested in in-person simulations, please contact us at simulation@mohawkcollege.ca. The following Simulation Lab Technologists are responsible for overseeing in-person simulations:
Our Simulation Lab Technologists have developed a comprehensive Guide for In-Person Simulations, which can be accessed here.
Additionally, the Nursing Faculty has recently developed a Faculty Simulation Toolkit, available here.
