My Short term goals are:
In preparation for my Nursing as a Profession exam in 4Weeks(December, 17), I will study daily each week content with minimum of 5hrs study time, using flashcards and diagrams, testing myself weekly to score at least 80% on the test. My short term goal also include,
Specific: Improve patient communication skills by effectively utilizing therapeutic communication techniques during daily oncoming clinical placement in Spring time.
Measurable: Successfully use therapeutic communication (e.g., active listening, open-ended questions) with at least 90% of patients during each clinical shift, as observed by my clinical instructor.
Achievable: Build on the basic communication skills learned in class/ Trent online resourcesĀ and apply them consistently in a clinical environment under the guidance of my clinical instructor..
Relevant: Enhancing communication skills is crucial for building trust with patients and ensuring high-quality care in my nursing practice.
Time-Bound: Achieve this goal by the end of my SpringĀ clinical placement, evaluating progress weekly through feedback and self-assessment.
Longterm Goals Include:
At the completion of my nursing program, I aim to maintain a GPA of at least 3.7 by dedicating a minimum of 15 hours per week to focused study, attending all review sessions, and seeking additional help in challenging subjects when needed, and over the next 28 months.
I will also prepare for the NCLEX exam by completing 100 practice questions per week, attending two NCLEX review workshops, and scoring at least 80% on weekly practice exams by the time I complete my program, I will create a detailed study plan with milestones, focusing on high-priority topics like pharmacology, patient care coordination, and safety.
