Nurses’ values are the guiding principles that shape their approach to patient care, ethical decision-making, and professional conduct.

The values  stated below impacted my approach to patient care and professional conduct.

Confidentiality helps me protect patients’ private information in compliance with legal and ethical standards and share information only as necessary for the care team and with proper consent.

Respect for Diversity- I value diversity and inclusion, recognizing and honoring the different cultural, religious, and personal beliefs of patients.

Advocacy- helps to focus on protecting patients’ rights, ensuring their voices are heard, and promoting fair and equitable treatment.

Collaboration-I am a teamplayer that values teamwork, working effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.

Finally,Compassion which  is a cornerstone of nursing and reflects a deep empathy for the pain, suffering, and needs of patients. It involves understanding and addressing the emotional and psychological aspects of patient care, helping patients feel comforted and understood which I value so much.
