Program Coordinators and Faculty
Program Coordinators and Faculty, who also serve as subject matter experts, are integral to the development, implementation and maintenance of program pathways, with most of their responsibilities concentrated in the development phase. School responsibilities are fully outlined in the Procedures section of this handbook.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Quality Partnerships, develop program pathways by identifying opportunities, conducting a feasibility assessment, creating a work plan, and mapping the curriculum
- In collaboration with Quality Partnerships, implement program pathways by reviewing the agreement, securing required external and internal approvals, and communicating and promoting pathways to current and prospective students
- In collaboration with Quality Partnerships, maintain program pathways by participating in regular review and renewal of pathways, including articulation agreements
Academic Managers and Leadership
Associate Deans, Deans, and the Senior Vice-President, Academic, support the development, implementation and maintenance of program pathways.
Responsibilities
- Associate Dean: approve investigation of prospective pathways and pathway feasibility assessments, review draft articulation agreements, and support the regular review of pathways
- Dean: approve pathway feasibility assessments, and approve articulation agreements for external pathways
- Senior Vice-President, Academic: approve and sign articulation agreements for external pathways
Pathways and Events Consultant, Faculty of Business
In the Kinlin School of Business and the School of Information Technology, the Pathways and Events Consultant supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal and external program pathways, and assumes the responsibilities of the Pathways Coordinator as outlined throughout this handbook. The Pathways and Events Consultant coordinates activities with Quality Partnerships.
