Consumption of Food

To maintain a clean, safe, and professional learning environment, students are expected to follow these guidelines regarding food and beverage consumption:

Designated Eating Areas

Food and beverages may only be consumed in the following areas:

  • Cafeterias
  • Student lounges
  • Vending machine areas

Note: Students must dispose of waste properly and recycle where possible, regardless of location.


Microwave Access

  • Microwaves for student use are available in the 4th-floor lounge (Room 401).
  • Hallway kitchenettes on all floors are for staff use only.

Breaks and Lunches

  • Students are provided with scheduled breaks and lunch periods on their daily timetables.
  • During Professional Practice placements, students must remain on-site during break times and are not permitted to leave the clinical facility.

Policy Enforcement

  • Professors and instructors are responsible for enforcing these guidelines in their classrooms.
  • Defiant violations may be reported to the Operations Manager for disciplinary action.
  • Managers and department heads are responsible for ensuring staff compliance.

These guidelines apply 24/7 to all students, staff, visitors, and lessees of college space.


Spills and Cleanliness

If you encounter a food or drink spill, please notify a staff member so Building Services can be contacted to clean the area promptly.
