College of Nurses of Ontario Standards

As an accredited program, Mohawk College is required to graduate Practical Nurses who meet standards that have been established for the profession. These standards are set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) 

The CNO provides practice standards and guidelines to support nurses in providing safe and ethical nursing care to the people of Ontario. It is each nurse’s responsibility, including students, to utilize these guidelines in their decision-making and clinical practice (visit CNO’s website for more information)
