Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity
Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity throughout the Practical Nursing Program. All work submitted for evaluation—whether assignments, lab work, or other assessments—must be the student’s own original work.
Key Expectations
- Work submitted must be completed independently and must not be reused from previous submissions, including work from other courses or repeated attempts of the same course.
- All forms of academic dishonesty, including plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, and use of unapproved resources, are strictly prohibited.
- Students are responsible for retaining all rough notes, drafts, and backup copies of assignments until final grades are received.
- Faculty may request submission of preparatory materials to verify the authenticity of student work.
- Mohawk College uses Turnitin and other tools to monitor and verify the originality of submitted work.
Policy Enforcement
All breaches or suspected breaches of academic integrity will be managed in accordance with Mohawk College’s Academic Integrity Policy.
