Smoking Policy

Mohawk College and McMaster University are committed to providing a healthy, smoke-free learning environment.

Mohawk College

Mohawk College is a smoke-free campus. This includes the use of:

  • Tobacco products
  • Vapes and e-cigarettes
  • Cannabis and related products

The policy applies to all College property, including:

  • Buildings and grounds
  • Parking lots
  • College-owned or leased vehicles
  • Personal vehicles while on College property

Note: Use of medical cannabis is managed under the Ontario Human Rights Code and may be accommodated through Accessible Learning Services.

McMaster University (IAHS Campus)

McMaster University, including the IAHS Campus, is a 100% smoke-free environment.
