It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all assignments are submitted by the method and date/time specified in the course learning plan.

Late assignments will be deducted 10% per day for each late day if an assignment extension has not been granted by faculty.

Assignment extensions may be granted by faculty following the Mohawk College Student Assessment Policy. Alternate deadlines will only be provided for students with legitimate medical or truly exceptional circumstances, or if a student has an accommodation through Accessible Learning Services. Appropriate supporting documentation may be required.

To be eligible for an assignment extension, the student must notify the course teacher prior to the assignment deadline, or at the earliest opportunity up to a maximum of 5 days after the deadline.

Same day requests for extensions will not be provided.

Assignment extensions cannot be granted for group work. If there are concerns with group dynamics, it is the responsibility of the students to connect with their faculty prior to assignment deadlines.

Students cannot submit late assignments after marks/feedback has been published by faculty.

Re-grading of assignments is not supported in the Practical Nursing Program.
