Q. What is the Student Code of Conduct?
- The Student Code of Conduct lists your rights and responsibilities as a Centennial College student and is intended to ensure a learning environment based on mutual respect.
Q. Another student has been making nasty comments about me on social media. Can the college do something about it?
- Yes, under our Student Code of Conduct, the College can take action if inappropriate statements are made online by a Centennial College student about another Centennial College student or employee.
Q. What are my rights and responsibilities online?
- Each member of the Centennial College community is responsible for contributing to an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. With the move to learning at a distance and with interactions now taking place online and in virtual spaces, keep in mind that the Student Code of Conduct still applies. In this time of social and physical distancing, it is even more important for each of us to build connections through open and constructive dialogue, and to be kind and patient with each other as we all navigate rapidly changing circumstances. Be sure to check the Learning at a Distance: What You Need to Know About Your Rights and Responsibilities Online for tips on demonstrating kindness and respect in an online environment.
