A workshop overview
Have you been looking for a new/novel way to connect with your learners? Perhaps you subscribe to podcasts for topics you find interesting? Why not transform moments in your course, into a ‘Teachable Moments’ podcast series that your students will really appreciate.
This course will take approximately 4 hours of your time. This investment is made across three days in order to introduce you to 3 aspects of planning and development that will make the process both informative and efficient.
We ask that you complete day 1 (on September 20th) here in D2L so that we can work together during our online synchronous session (in Zoom) on September 21 on what you have created during Day 1. We can then help you finalize your podcast series plan by providing feedback and ‘next steps’ on your first recording on Day 3 (September 22).
Learning Objectives
By the end of this (approximately) 4 hour course:
- Using the templates provided, you have recorded your first [draft] episode,
- Using your course syllabus and schedule you have created a series plan with schedule of release, and
- Considered multiple methods to incorporate audio storytelling and content delivery in to your course.
