This Open Educational Resource (OER), “Picture Perfect: The Art of Accessible Image Communication,” is designed to provide educators, content creators, and web developers with an understanding of alt text and its role in digital accessibility. The book is structured to cover everything from the basics of what alt text is and how it functions to detailed guidance on crafting effective alt text for a variety of image types. Additionally, practical exercises and a list of resources offer opportunities for application and continued learning. Whether new to the topic or looking to refine existing skills, readers will find insights to improve web accessibility and inclusivity.
