Safety

The only concern for the experiment from a safety point of view is the diode laser that shoots a beam across the table that indicates the angle of the balance. Do not put your face in the path of this laser. There is no reason for you to need to see anything from that vantage point. If you really must, please block the laser with a folded-up piece of paper or unplug the USB cable that goes to the DAQ, which powers the lasers.
