You must be wearing long pants and close-toed shoes in order to enter the high-level labs and radiate your sample. And don’t wear anything you like. If something on your person gets contaminated (the chance is small, but non-zero) then it will be held in the high-level labs for 10 halflives of the contaminating isotope (about 2 years for iodine 127 – the most common isotope in the high-level lab).
