Data Analysis

  1. Calculate the average wavelength for each light source. Use the standard deviation as your uncertainty. Compare your value to the accepted values from Section 3.1.
  2. Plot the number of wavelengths moved through as a function of the distance moved by the mirror.  Fit your data with a straight line. Determine the wavelength of each light source from the slope of your lines.  Compare to accepted values.
