Figure 9: A circuit in which to check Kirchhoff’s Law.

 

  1. Use Circuitlab to make the circuit shown in Figure 9. Use the first three numbers of your student number as the value for the first resistance (in Ohms), and the last three numbers of your student number as the value for the second resistor. Use whatever numbers you want for the other two, but keep three digits.
  2. Measure the voltage drop across each resistor in the prescribed loop and confirm the 2^{nd} form of Kirchhoff’s Law.

Submit a screenshot of your circuit with the voltage measurements and your calculations showing Kirchhoff’s Law is held (an Excel spreadsheet or notepad file is fine)
