Experimental Apparatus

The various components you will need in your experiments are shown in Figure 5. Your experiments will require a digital power supply that we can vary (i.e. not just a couple AA batteries). We will use the DC output of the PASCO interface unit. Check out the recording on how to use the PASCO software and hardware. As long as you are plugging black cables into black cable jacks, and red cables into red cable jacks, then you’ll be fine.

Note that the galvanometer and multimeter are not components from the PASCO unit, so we need to connect them using cables with alligator clips. The little metal clips that connect the PASCO pieces are great places to grab with the alligator clips.
