Lab 1: Simple Circuits

Prelab Exercise

  1. Go to Circuitlab.com. You don’t have to make an account, just launch circuitlabs. One thing to note is that there is a time limit, so doing your prelab in one sitting, after you’ve read the manual, is the best way to go about it.
  2. Watch this tutorial.
  3. Make the same circuit as in the video using the first three numbers of your student number as the first resistor value and the last three numbers of your student number as the second resistor value. You don’t have to add R3-R5 if you don’t want to (but you can!). Measure the voltage across each resistor with the voltmeter. Take a screenshot of your circuit.

 

Submit the screenshot of your circuit to the appropriate dropbox in Avenue to Learn/Crowdmark.
