Consider the resistance measurement shown on the multimeter.
Last term, we discussed only reading uncertainty, and we would have reported this measurement as
46.80 ± 0.05 Ω
(i.e. assuming that the meter is rounding, the measurement must be somewhere between 46.75 Ω and 46.85 Ω .)
