Introduction

Welcome to the Physics 1C03 labs! In this course, you will have weekly labs on Fridays at the time on your Mosaic schedule. You will work on building data analysis and interpretation skills, and explore physics concepts in more detail.

During each lab session, you will work with your peers on the task at hand. There will be checkpoints throughout the lab where you will be asked to discuss some of your findings or predictions with your lab instructors. Each lab is graded on a participation model, and all lab participation is worth 10% of your final course grade.

In addition, some labs will have assignments associated with them. These assignments will be submitted for grading via the Crowdmark platform and are typically due a week after the initial lab. Unless otherwise indicated, these assignments are individual. While you may discuss your work with your peers, all work that is submitted, must be completed by you. The lab assignments are worth a total of 10% of your final course grade.

During the labs, we expect you to take an active role in your learning. Make sure that you are taking opportunities to work with the equipment and explore, to share ideas, and to ask any questions that you have (to your partners and the lab instructors). Have fun!
