After going through this unit activities carefully, you should be able to

  • Define sound and hearing.
  • Describe relationship between the speed of sound, its frequency, and its wavelength.
  • Describe the effects on the speed of sound as it travels through various media.
  • Explain the effect of temperature on the speed of sound.
  • Describe medical and other uses of ultrasound technology.
