  • Describe the stages of tooth development and the cells responsible for forming the tooth
  • Describe anomalies associated with disturbances during tooth development

  • 1.5 – Stages of tooth development (odontogenesis):
    • Initiation, bud and cap stages
    • Bell, appositional and maturation stages
    • Eruption and exfoliation
  • 1.6 – Dental Anomalies:
    • Alteration in tooth number
    • Alteration in tooth shape and size
    • Problems with apposition and maturation
