5 The LEARN Collection at UTSC
About the Learning Objects Catalogue
The Learning Object Catalogue seeks to collect, catalogue, and preserve a wide range of Learning Objects created at the UTSC Library in order to highlight the pedagogical tools that are being created, while at the same time, sharing resources with internal (UTL) partners and external colleagues in order to share our work and allow for the repurposing of objects for learning and teaching.

Scope:
Materials include videos, handouts, slide decks, digital modules, H5Ps, and additional formats as they arise. The Learning Object Catalogue will also capture additional information about existing collections of learning objects that have been created by other organizations or institutions outside of UTSC Library, pointing to collections rather than individual objects.
Licensing and Intellectual Property
Materials are covered by Creative Commons licensing, and most commonly by the CC-BY-NC-SA license, which “allows re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.” If you remix, adapt or build upon the material, you must also license the material under identical terms in hopes of growing knowledge for societal benefit. Individuals linking to the LEARN are also asked to follow the terms of license for proper attribution.
Accessibility and compliance
Materials are revised prior to inclusion for accessibility compliance by members of the UTSC Library team.
Withdrawals and Corrections
As pedagogical objects can become out of date as various software is updated, items that are included will be reviewed regularly for relevance, and will be updated or withdrawn when needed.
