Using Generative AI

The following page outlines how we can use generative AI to help create OER.

  1. Bulk formatting tasks (alphabetizing lists, applying HTML/CSS styling based on content, etc.)
  2. Assisting with the search for open resources (Bing is more helpful than ChatGPT for anything that requires  web search)
  3. Creating Learning Outcomes
  4. Creating chapter introductions or summaries
  5. Creating test banks / end-of-chapter questions
  6. Creating example scenarios / case-studies

Note that for any use of generative AI where content is being created, the generated content should be flagged for review by the subject matter expert (author).
