Tips for Adding Graphics

When adding graphics to Pressbooks, consider the following:

• When opened in a lightbox, transparent PNG images are impossible to read.
• Images may need to be scaled down from large aspect ratios, especially with infographics. When exported to PDF, they are better quality, and readability improves.
• Make sure images are aligned (left, right or center). Otherwise, the captions appear in undesirable places in the PDF.
