Timesheets

Part-Time Timesheet Schedule

Timesheets are submitted on a Bi-Weekly basis (every other week).

They can be submitted on or before the Thursday they are due. You will estimate your hours worked for Thursday and Friday to add them to that week’s timesheet. Any changes to the Timesheets after submission should be reported to the person you submit your timesheets to. (Example: You record 4 hours of work for Friday, but in actuality, you work 6.5 hours)

Bi-Weekly Part Time Payroll Schedule

Timesheet Example

Timesheets should be detailed.

  • If you work part-time, you can work 24 hours a week, totalling 48 hours at the end of the payment schedule.
  • To help keep you organized, log your hours daily.

Timesheet Additional Notes

Maximum Number of Hours

  • Work Study – 10 hours
  • Co-op – 24 hours or 35 hours (40 – 5 hours for lunches)
  • Part-Time – 24 hours

Maximum Hours Per Day

  • 7 hours recorded on timesheet = 8 hours – 1 hour unpaid lunch
  • 5.5 hours recorded on timesheet = 6 hours – 30 minute unpaid lunch
  • A full day of work is tracked as 7 hours on your Timesheet. Your 8-hour day includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
  • For any 5+ hour shift, you also have a 30-minute unpaid lunch break that needs to be reflected on your timesheet. For example, on Saturday and Sunday, these must be tracked as 5.5 hours worked. A 9-5 or 12-8 shift should be recorded as 7 hours on your timesheet.
  • You are not permitted to work between 12am and 6am without prior approval from your manager.
  • You are not permitted to work on holidays or during college closures without prior approval from your manager.

You are paid for the stat holiday. Do not make up these hours unless directed by your manager.
