Page Completion Checklist

Checklist

  1. Check the book design overall to the design guide to ensure consistency. Design guides can be found in the front matter of the book.
  2. Check the chapter overviews to make sure they are correct (Parts in Pressbooks)
  3. Check all permalinks on each page to ensure they match the page titles.
  4. End of page attribution statement added/updated.
  5. References. Ensure all references are properly formatted in the reference list and as in-text citations. OWL APA Guide
  6. Images
    1. alt-text, metadata updated in media library & caption included OR tagged decorative.
    2. Check that images have the correct figure numbering.
  7. WAVE accessibility check reviewed & problems fixed or reported
    1. Tagged & nested headings starting at H2 throughout the page
    2. Problematic use of colour identified and fixed if possible
    3. Use of underline for emphasis identified and fixed if possible
    4. Layout tables identified and fixed where possible
    5. Reference formatting for accessibility 
    6. Check links and make sure they are descriptive.
    7. PDF, Word & New tabs marked on links as needed. See HTML tagging for improved accessibility 
  8. H5P activities identified with div tag AND
    1. The attribution statement in metadata (see H5P metadata)
    2. Text version under activity with summary/details tags (working towards this)
  9. Videos embedded & marked with either a “Watch” or “Video” wording and proper attribution statement with links. (use attribution builder)
  10. Glossary terms are added/updated/corrected as needed (if applicable)

Run a final WAVE accessibility check to ensure issues you can fix are resolved
