Recording Time Worked

Please see the Workday Job Aid – All Employees – Entering and Modifying Worked Time – Time Entry and Time Off for recording your time in Workday.

All employees except PT casual must fill in their schedule in Workday.  Since the OER Studio staff do not have access to Workday, employees must also add the times they will be working in the Studio to the Studio Schedule worksheet.

Please note your hours should add up for the week. Make sure to double-check, or your pay may be incorrect.
Also, you must submit your hours after adding them in.

Maximum Number of Hours Per Week

  • Work Study: 9/10 hours a week (check your contract)
  • Full-Time Co-op: 35 hours (40 hours a week, with 5 – 1hr lunches)

Maximum Hours Per Day

  • Full-time: 7 hours per day recorded. Your 8-hour day includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
  • Part-Time: 5.5 hours recorded on timesheet = 6 hours – 30 minute unpaid lunch

For any 5+ hour shift, you also have a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.  A 9-5 or 12-8 shift should be recorded as 7 hours on your timesheet.

  • You are not permitted to work between 12 A.M. and 6 A.M. without prior approval from your manager.
