Using Generative AI
The following page outlines how we can use generative AI to help create OER.
- Bulk formatting tasks (alphabetizing lists, applying HTML/CSS styling based on content, etc.)
- Assisting with the search for open resources (Bing is more helpful than ChatGPT for anything that requires web search)
- Creating Learning Outcomes
- Creating chapter introductions or summaries
- Creating test banks / end-of-chapter questions
- Creating example scenarios / case-studies
Note that for any use of generative AI where content is being created, the generated content should be flagged for review by the subject matter expert (author).
