NFSM Program Mission Statement
The Nutrition and Food Service Management Program provides a supportive learning environment for students to gain food service and nutrition knowledge combined with business and human relations skills. The knowledge will help to prepare for challenging careers in the food service industry and professional competence in keeping with the codes of ethics and standards of practice of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) www.csnm.

CSNM CODE OF ETHICS
- Maintain the highest standards of professional and personal conduct.

- Support the Society’s goals and objectives for developing the profession of Nutrition Management.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
The Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) accredits the Nutrition and Food Service Management program. Graduates will be eligible for membership in the CSNM which is a requirement of the Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to be qualified to seek employment as a Food Service Manager in long-term care facilities and many acute care facilities. As such, students will be fully prepared with specialized knowledge and eligible to work in health care.
With the growing aging population, there is a vast interest in proper nutrition and health to meet the demands of the health care industry.
