2.1  ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

This section of the proposal requires that the department outline the program admission requirements and discuss how these are determined such that students may be reasonably expected to achieve the learning outcomes upon program completion.

Consideration for Supplemental Applications  – When designing new programs, departments may want to consider including supplemental application processes for equity-deserving groups. This consideration can play a significant role in promoting equity and inclusion by providing additional pathways for students who may have faced systemic barriers. It can help ensure that a wider range of experiences and perspectives are represented within the student body, which can enrich the learning environment for all. 

Departments should consult the appropriate academic calendar

2.3  ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Note that this section may not be applicable to all proposals. However, if applicable, elaborate on any additional and/or alternative admission requirements (e.g. minimum grade point average, additional languages or portfolios, along with how the program recognizes prior work or learning experience).

2.4  ACCESSIBLE AND EQUITABLE ADMISSIONS PROCESSES AND PRACTICES

In this section elaborate on any efforts utilized to ensure accessible and equitable admissions processes and practices.
