5 Student Referrals and Accommodations Process
The Glenn Crombie Centre
Cambrian college has student referrals and accommodations at The Glenn Crombie Centre for Accessibility, Counselling, and Wellness.
Students accessing Accessibility services in post-secondary institutions do so voluntarily. Referrals can come from various sources including:
- Academic Success Advisors
- Counsellors
- Faculty
- Classmates, or other college personnel.
With the increase of mature and international students, many of these students may not have up-to-date or any documentation at all. In this instance, the Advisor may set up temporary and minimal accommodations, until some time where the student would be able to acquire the appropriate documentation.
Many students transitioning from high school with existing accommodations are encouraged to visit the Accessibility office. Others may self-refer due to hindrances in their academic performance.
