How Does Conflict Occur?

A disagreement can occur between a manager and an employee or a disagreement between the employees themselves. It can be linked to personal issues. It can be someone is overwhelmed by the workload and does not know how to verbalize their concerns, so it shows up as a conflict.

HR Skills Needed

Active listening helps build trust. Mediation to encourage communication and problem-solving. Paraphrasing is an important skill to ensure you understand their issues correctly. It is also important to stay calm.
