Using Materials Requires Permissions

Just as all teaching materials, content and personal likenesses used in teaching you are protected (not to be copied, stored beyond the course or shared), the unique materials you create and your image/ audio is not to be used outside of a course without expressed permission. This is both a copyright/ intellectual property and a privacy issue and a very serious concern. Our learning environment depends on this shared understanding allowing us to safely express ideas.

The Centennial College Marketing Department is always eager to feature student images and work in their efforts to promote the College, and our programs. We would like to evolve the MCMC website to reflect actual alumni too. Any student willing to share their creations as part of these efforts could enter into mutually agreed upon terms for usage of their creations with the College. Students can contact marketing@centennialcollege.ca for more details.

The forms to share your work or likeness– for specific limited uses– are found below. To request the use of any copyrighted course material, contact your course instructor and a similar form will be needed, if permission is granted.

SCMAD-Personal-Release-Form-v1 (For use of your likeness)

SCMAD-CC-Release-Form-2021-v5.3 (For use of your individual work)

Please note: the work you conduct for Storyworks and field placement projects are not your sole-authored creations and may also involve confidentiality issues. Discuss any distribution of these materials with your project supervisor and get their sign-off on specific uses.

Any teamwork is co-authored and requires the co-signing of all authors on releases.
